Would you have sex with a girl walking nakedly down the street? I think most people would contrarily look down on this girl, calling her all sorts of derogatory names. Following this logic, how has it ever been an acceptable excuse that women who are provocatively clad are asking for sexual assault? You wouldn't leap at a fully nude passerby (in fact, you would probably cringe/flee), yet you would ravage a fully dressed woman minding her business walking a trail alone at night. Hmm. I understand that this is not how most rape occurs - no, overwhelmingly our friends and families are our rapists, in our own houses nonetheless. If that doesn't make your lunch sit heavy, shame on you. Statistically, 1 in every 3 rape victims has suicidal thoughts. Of those women, 13% will make an attempt, sometimes even years later.
